Admission Essay
One of the most fascinating questions that people often ask themselves is what to do with their lives? It is as exciting as it is difficult. Very few people get the question right and even fewer manage to execute the answer with precision. I think I am one of the few who has managed to do both. My interest in business began a long time ago when I would often watch my mother manage her business in Columbia and pick up a few skills that have never departed me until this day. I have had my fair share of great ideas. I started small, of course, but small became big and big became bigger. Before I knew it, I was conceiving ideas that everyone around was impressed with, myself included. Currently, however, I am obsessed with the biggest idea yet. The so-called biggest thought is the pursuit of a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Development in Brattleboro. I consider it as such because if achieved, it has the power to change a lot.
Obtaining a Masters Degree in Brattleboro has the power to change both my short-term and long-term goals. If these goals are achieved, then there has to a corresponding change in the social and economic impact I have. It is no longer about volunteering as a Math teacher in my home-town or anywhere else- as I did for quite some time.
