Admissions Essay: Leadership
Rather than a possibility, the prospect of joining law school has continually been a certainty to me. By heading a broad range of school activities, I devoted my undergraduate studies towards the mission of being admitted into law school. For instance, as the head of Henry Frye Pre-Law Society, I helped prepare around 30 students for the workforce by coordinating professional development workshops. Being the leader of this society enabled me to learn about the importance of teamwork and collaboration (Polden 901). I built a tremendous team by learning about the individual strengths and weaknesses of each team member and growing on these unique features through motivation and inspiration. It is vital to note that these are essential skills in not only the practice of law but also community development. I also served at the Student Government Association as a member of the judiciary. By actively scrutinizing and prompting cases of purported student delinquency, I learned the significance of maintaining fairness and impartiality in the practice of law.
Another vital position that developed my leadership skills during undergraduate studies was heading the Enactus as its chief litigation executive. My duties revolved around the management of contracts with employees, vendors, customers, and other partners.
