From a medical point of view, video games have been helpful in treatment of diseases. Researchers hold that video games can help treat people who suffer from all kinds of phobias. The findings are based on the fact that video games expose people to some sort of inner source of fear. In view of this, researchers have postulated that these phobias can get checked through an internally controlled mechanism (Anderson 27). The astounding phobia known to bear serious implications and which can be cured include the fear of high and confined places.

Video games also serve as sources of fun as it helps in relieving stress and boredom especially among teenagers.
