On a daily basis, individuals or groups exchange ideas between themselves during numerous interactions. The interactions could be during a classroom discussion, on social platforms, in a business meeting among others. During such interactions, it is essential that individuals get an opportunity to express themselves. In other words, an individual should freely express out his or her ideas and at the same time seek to allow others to express themselves too. Acknowledging other people’s thoughts does not mean you agree with what they say or have to say but that their opinions just like yours are logical, viable and even actionable. In light of the above information, this paper seeks to discuss the importance of expressing one’s ideas and also acknowledging other people’s opinions.
Expression of one’s idea not only is a right but also help us experience great benefits provided that the expression of the opinion is in the right way. First, the expression of one’s opinion helps in better self-understanding.
