Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. wrote the book “Where Do We Go from Here” in isolation before his assassination. The book is about the dreams and plans that he had for the future of the Americans, and it paints the prospects of America in two dimension: chaos or community. Martin Luther King advocated for quality education, high wages, decent housing and an end to world suffering. Luther’s dreams are like the one that we have today.Dr. Martin Luther’s book is relevant in our society today as all the contents of the book exist today. We have come from far, and we are also going much ahead (King, 2011). Countries are not true in struggles to end economic challenges, poverty, and social injustices that cause their citizens to suffer. Governments in these countries frustrate their citizens by not implementing laws that they pass and hearing their demands for justice. There is a lot of disinterest and apathy, and this only lead to chaos.
According to Dr. Martin Luther King, chaos does not end social injustices, but a community does (King & King, 2010). Therefore, it is only through diplomacy and communal understanding that we can achieve a better country. Americans need to change their old ways of discriminating the non-Whites and embracing racism to create a just society. New values have to be born to end social evils in the world. We…
