Traits
The first trait of situational leadership is flexibility. These leaders use several leadership approaches based on the needs and characteristics of their subjects and that of the organizations they work. The Second trait is integrity; they change their leadership tactics to benefit their team members instead of just taking advantage of the circumstance. Thirdly, they are courageous. Most leaders often apply a single style of management; however, situational leaders take the risk of employing different approaches based on the circumstance at hand (Cherry, 2018). In the long run, situational leaders aim at achieving organizational goals and improving the members’ productivity.

Participation is a key skill of situational leaders. They portray this skill by encouraging the individual involvement of all team members in the crucial company affairs like making routine decisions.
