This essay presents a succinct examination and exploration of the response, renewal, and transformation of literary works from antiquity in the Middle Ages (post 500 CE). Besides, the essay will examine ways in which these works reflect the historical contexts as evident from different literature. In most cases, the term ancient has been integrated to refer to larger areas, which are old, particularly when the civilization organized differently in the past from the modern or contemporary such as Ancient Greece, Ancient Israel, and Ancient Egypt. The recent studies have focused on portraying traditional entities as autonomous and self-regulating, which sought to re-situate within the context of the wider regional, as well as international economies and histories. There are various characteristics concerning the antiquity period in history. In the first instance, there were symbiotic relationships among the society members. This is highly evident in the development and presentation of the literary works among members of the society by the traditional writers.
It is valuable to note that arts of formal speech did play a critical role in the ancient life regarding the case of the antiquity historical context. From this perspective, it was natural that vocabularies and distinct conceptual frameworks in the literary works should be developed for evaluation. In addition, there was nee to facilitate the development of the vocabularies and frameworks to speculate about nature, as well as the role of poetry and practical advice for successful composition concerning oratory. From this perspective, the resulting body or tradition focused on making a valuable contribution to rhetoric. The doctrine during this period was dominant. In addition, the doctrine sought to make or generate a striking difference in the most striking difference in relation to understanding the concepts of Antiquity.

Similarly, the poets and authors during this historical period focused on the use of gifts of nature to aspire towards the achievement of their goals and targets. There were various criticisms in relation to the role and importance of the poets in the development of the literary works. Poets focused on using their positions to transmit mythical tradition, which did have offensive features, thus the concepts of the  tales of the god , immorality, and viciousness of the heroic personalities. The society focused on utilization of the idea of inspiration, as well as demand for the social and moral commitment, thus the obligation of the authors in this historical period to concentrate and commit to the presentation of these issues to the society members.
Conclusively, the study sought to examine and explore the response, renewal, and transformation of the literary works from antiquity in the Middle Ages (post 500 CE). Furthermore, the essay examined ways in which these works reflect the historical contexts. From the findings of the study, the literary works focused on the evaluation of the concept of humanism and environmental protection. It was reasonably necessary for the authors to concentrate on the assessment of their relationship with the environment, as well as their perception of the issues affecting the society. From this perspective, it was ideal for the authors of the literary works to concentrate on the presentation of the positive image of the society. On the other hand, the poets had the freedom to express their perception of the customs as well as social commitments of society members in pursuit of competitive goals and targets.
