Therefore, this paper is meant to support the already done research on how music help to relieve mood (Palacky, 2007). The paper has reviewed various works of literature to come out definite conclusion on how music impacts on individuals feelings. Approaches related to music and how it effects the change in beliefs gets discussed at length. It is true in the paper that music help elevate the happiness of an individual. It also improves the physical activity of a person. Conclusively, the paper concludes by focusing on the certain scenario when music cannot help the heartbroken individuals.

Human being state of mind is dynamic and keeps on changing depending on various factors such environment and the state of the brain. Several factors that affect human being’s state of mind are stress and anxiety. According to Bruscia (2012) three major pillars affect mood, significance of which includes; the first and the last thought in the day and someone’s dream life. The negative attitude has been detrimental to the well-being of individual as it may affect judgments, personality, and motivation (Nech, 2008).
Due to the above adverse effect of feelings, the question has a rise on how to overcome the situation. Most psychologists have preferred the use of music the source to manage the negative moods. The study conducted by Nech (2008) indicates that lack of sleep can also be another cause of the disorder, sleep is crucial for the well-being of a person and lack of it may result in irritable behavior. Drug and alcohol have been an important contributing factor to the mood disorder, for example; study shows that the use of cocaine and methamphetamines can elevate the condition to a higher level. The ultimate cause of the syndrome is stress and anxiety (Maheshwari, 2012). The study conducted by International Journal of Yoga in America show that many people are facing difficulties on how to handle stress related issues such as financial crisis and family matters, when this factor is not handled with a lot of care and professionalism it can lead to the disorder.
International Journal of Yoga conducted a study showing how listening to music can raise your mood from negative to the positive side, and this may lead to a quality life. Music therapy is trending and widely used as scientist have discovered that someone can improve their mood by just listening to music. According to the American Therapy Association, the use of music is evidently seen to improve mood and the well-being of individuals.

From the result, it was concluded that music is crucial to the well-being of individual both mentally and physically.
According to MacDonald et al. (2012) what should get embraced is the fact that individual usually listen to high tempo music when happy. In this context, they get to breath at a faster rate showing signs of happiness. Unlike the high tempo music, the little rhythm usually tunes tend to usher in the rise in blood pressure and low pulse rate. This aspect will result to low moods among the individuals. Conversely, MacDonald et al. (2012) proposed that music helps individuals to be physically active. Music has a greater influence on someone’s health. For instance, in hospitals the patients are exposed to some essence of music to help keep them alert and improvement their immune system. In the same aspect, music has been witnessed lowering the stress among the pregnant women and increases their heart rate and blood pressure (Kenny, 2011). According to Carson (2010) children are usually happy when music therapy is carried out on them. Individuals believe that the higher the tempo music, the happier someone will become and vice versa.
Carson (2010) postulates that music is instrumental in the reduction of individual’s anxiety. The soothing nature of music tends to relax the people’s mind and bodies. This aspect gets experienced with the low tempo music that slows down the pulse rate, reduces the blood pressure, and reduce the level of stress hormones. Through this music plays a bigger role in exploring our emotions as it gets to hinder the mind wondering. This strategy has worked better in the hospitals and the intensive care unit sections.
Miles (2005) asserts that music has also been seen working well to console heartbroken people. Heartbreak makes an individual feels low, lonely, sad and empty. Good music helps cure the broken souls. However, there are instances when the music enhances the pain. This scenario depends on the kind of message shown by the song to the audience. The rhythms may touch directly on the problem that an individual is going through.
Discussion and recommendations
From this current research on the effect of music on the mood disorder, it is quite vivid that the music creates a relaxed state during the mood condition, this is in line with the previously done research by (Nech, 2008). The outcome of the present and previous research both coincide on how music relieves the mood condition.
The role of music in the mood disorder gained scientific argument because music has an effect on some part of the brain that in turn regulate the flow of certain neurotransmitter such as serotonin that bring about the excited during the mood condition. Dopamine hormone that is a depressant is drastically reduced (Taylor, 2009). This aspect is by the present data. There is a divergent opinion on how different age set view, as others check as the source of entertainment while some conceptualize it as a way of the mind relaxing.
The majority of people of the respondent listen to different kind of music depending on the state of the mind, during negative mood they prefer soft music to tempo one. Music can either have can both have positive and negative impact depending on the type of music, though this only targets the youth group (Taylor, 2009).
In summary, there is the direct impact that music create especially in the anxiety state as in most cases it relieves the stress as the witness by the respondent from a wider range of different personality and it has the effect on the entire mental group from the young to the old.
In conclusion it right that listening to music help in relieving the mood state, this has been increased by the introduction of music therapy that has played a great role in individuals who are experiencing anxiety due to stress. Also, it is being used to reduce nervousness in the patient who might be undergoing treatment. It is currently the most popular method recommended by most therapist and psychologist as it is more natural and affordable way of maintaining the mood state.
According to Miles (2005) someone happiness does not rely on music as it gets proposed in the research paper. Happiness relies purely on someone decision and how he or she handle stress though it is advisable to use the convenient method by most research done previously on the management of the mood condition so as to avoid the adverse effect that may arise affecting both mental and physical well-being. However, it is clear that music is much of good things as it prompts the reward system in our cognitive ability just like drugs can do. Ideally music is an addiction and having everywhere in our environment can eventually numb individuals to its effects.
