Proposal.
Objectives.Communication skills play a significant part in the life of a person especially in learning and cognitive development. Many children in the community have the hearing and speech-language impairments, and I believe that when am granted the $10000, it will go a long way in helping many children with these problems. The money will be used to buy the hearing aids and allows the screening of children to establish their issues. Also, part of the money will go children who can undergo a medical operation for instance cochlear implant to enhance their hearing ability. There are some of the starts up a project aimed at helping the children with hearing disability; an example includes the HearingX project which uses a smartphone to help the people with speech and hearing impairment. Incorporating such technology and hearing aids in the community will go a long way in helping people with the speech-language and hearing disorders.
Justification
Majority of schools lack the funds to purchase the needed resources to help learners with speech-language and hearing problems. A learner who has a hearing loss is likely to have issues when it comes to speech development and therefore measures to help such a person should be implemented.
