Fire tragedies are often unforeseen, and hence the importance to put measures to fight the fire. The law requires buildings to instore firefighting equipment in a bid to reduce destruction and save lives in case of a fire (Potter 1). This paper reflects on the firefighting equipment installed in a 13-story building.
The first floor serves as the reception. It has ten automatic sprinkler systems all in a perfect working condition. It has five fire hose reel systems, five manual alarm systems, and four emergency lighting systems. It has three escape route staircases, three bulkheads, and one escape map. Classrooms occupy the second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth floors. They have at least eight working automatic sprinkles each, four functional fire hose reel systems, four manual fire alarm systems, and three emergency lightings.
