My Reaction to The Information Viewed On the Video
Security is one of the most crucial aspects in any setting. In our airports, the government through security organs and agents, have introduced several measures intended to curb any breaches, mostly attributed due to the recent rise of terrorism across the world, and any aspects of threat. In America, TSA has subjected the role of working with other governmental security bodies to ensure that security gets enhanced at all travel destinations (“Security Screening”).
Details of the information about some security weaknesses, as presented in the video made me alarmed. It has been the general public’s perception that airports are one of the most secure places, attributed to security procedures available. Furthermore, the approaches put in place are well coordinated, given that several security organs work collectively, aimed at curbing any breaches. Therefore, this an alarming revelation.
Although aspects of security seem to be well laid as mentioned in the above perspective, the shocking revelation can be said to be a reflection of the airport security in general. One can conclude of the same since the ration of the breaches was extremely high. For instance, according to the video, 95% of the tests conducted revealed that smuggling could be facilitated and TSA failed 67% of the tests carried out (“TSA Security Failures Revealed”).
