Dear Sir/ Madam
RE: APPLICATION FOR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
I at this moment apply as a Summer Public Health intern at WHO by the requirement outlined under the procedures of WHO internship programs (1). I am presently a fourth-year student undertaking a bachelor’s degree course in public health at the University of California. As part of my coursework, I have covered some core public health units and financial management accounting. My goal after graduation is to acquire a fellowship in center healthcare administration.

I trust the internship program at the World Health Organization will be useful in helping me acquire a deeper understanding of the complex dynamics that not only steer financing, but also the delivery of healthcare within a large medical care center.

Before joining the University of California, I worked as a program director for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). This particular position offered me an opportunity to interact with patients, doctors and other related health professionals in developing healthcare programs that raised awareness about allergy and infectious diseases, with the objective of earlier diagnosis, better management, and improved patient prognosis.

Indeed, my experience working as a program director has helped me foster important skills that can be effectively applied within a hospital setup. I am enthusiastic to apply the various lessons that I have learned to enhance not only clinical quality but also patients’ experience within the healthcare delivery system.

I trust that a blend of my academic and professional experiences has offered me the organizational and interpersonal skills that will no doubt make significant contributions towards the growth of your highly regarded organization. Please see my resume for additional information on my background and experience. Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you regarding the internship program opportunity.

Sincerely,
(Name)
