Abstract
Coronary artery disease arises out of damage to the inner layer of the artery that leads to the clustering of platelets in the damaged area. The clumping can lead to the blocking of the highway thus resulting in heart failure. It is essential for individuals to lead a healthy lifestyle that reduces the risk factors of the disease. The paper discusses the risk factor of high triglyceride level of a female patient. The client has a triglyceride level of 250 mg/dL, which is high and puts her at risk of the disease. She can reduce the risk factor by making changes in her diet and lifestyle. She needs to get engaged in more physical activities to reduce her weight and keep it to a healthy level. The woman also needs to invest in a healthy diet that is free of a lot of sugars and fats. She should consume calories that her body can burn. A change in diet and lifestyle will help her to reduce the number of lipids in her blood thus lowering the level of triglyceride to an acceptable level.
