Consultancy proposal for Sonkeng garment company, Cambodia.
Abstract
The garment industry is one of the promising industries in the global economy as the number of the consumers demanding the fashion is increasing each day in the developed countries. Also, clothing is one of the basic needs of the human beings. Cambodia is one of the countries dominated by the garment industry and whose economy highly relies on the export of the garments produced. However, over the years, the garment industry has faced the pressures both internal and external that are in massive intense. Some of the pressures include the stiff competition and economic crisis of the globe despite the continuity of the industry to drive the country’s economy. It is because of these pressures that the study intends to examine the role the Sonkeng Garment Company in Cambodia has played in the global trade. It will also examine the export of the garment products and the standard operation procedures and how the two have contributed to income of the company. The study will also examine the factors that led to dropping in the garment industry in Cambodia with focus on Sonkeng Garment Company.
