Following years of struggle with the dwindling sales, I would like to apologize on behalf of the organization but we have been forced to take action for the business to remain afloat. I would like to thank you for your dedication and hard work over the years. Were it not for your resilience and understanding, the organization could not be in operation. However, you have been part of a workforce that has sustained the business operations despite numerous challenges.
With the changes in the market, the business has been hard hit by the new trends. Our sales have reduced significantly. Nevertheless, with the current strategic measures that are being undertaken, we are hopeful those things will change as soon as possible. At the moment, the management has been forced to take drastic measures to salvage the situation. First, your working hours will be reduced by 20% together with your base pay. The company does not want to retrench any employee because we value you and your contribution that has kept this organization going during the hard times. We believe in teamwork and the organization is not willing to break this bond. Many organizations have been hit by the same problem but they rush to retrench their employees. The tough economic times call for difficult decisions.
